Day 6 - Heather

Day 6 it is a Sunday and rainy. I found Heather in the second hand store which she owns here in Town. Asked what she wanted to be as a kid, Heather replied that it was a stupid question as no one really knows - fair enough I wasn't going to get into an argument about that with this particular lady.
As a conversation starter however it served its intended purpose and I found that Heather has led a very eventful life. A barmaid in the airforce, water tank seller and driver and all round hard worker is what I took away about Heather.

I also took away the little monkey below. Usually found as part of a set of three, these monkey's stand for Hear No Evil, See No Evil and Speak No Evil. Speak No was all by himself today. Goodness knows what has happened to his siblings but I thought it very appropriate. Speak no evil is really the only one of these three provisos that we can actually control.  He was lonely, I'm an impulse shopper, what can I say. The Second Hand Store is full of intriguing things and I could have got carried away and taken home the leather Chesterfield lounge as well as quite a few little cupboards - luckily I didn't have the ute with me. Sunday is done and dusted on the project though and I'm almost a week through.
Speak no evil - good advice!

The bears chilling on the Chesterfield which is in beautiful condition

This is knick knack heaven for those inclined - these little figurines are actually Avon perfume bottles and underneath them were all these cool Avon men's aftershave bottles shaped like boots, rhinos, lions, hammers etc - very cool and thank God I don't collect things like this anymore.....I don't well apart from monkeys and...
